Subject: Sins of planting

SW Wis.
My biggest oh sh#t moment happened when I realized my dry fertilizer setup up on a JD 1750 was grossly over applying. I set it to deliver 170lbs per/ac but after a calibration test we found it was actually delivering 324 lbs. The mix is a 10-15-22-10s with micros also. Million dollar question is… did I nuke my corn? This is in a 2x2 setup but on contours and side hills I assume some may be closer to seed trench depending on topography? Also will worn out elbows on the fertilizer boxes cause this? I put new standard rate augers in and gear tooth count matches the stickers, but it delivers double what the book setting says for 30in rows
