Subject: Is hail good for soybeans?

McLeod County Minnesota

No kidding, we had hail last year, collected a hefty hail insurance payment, beans were 4.5’ tall in August, and yielded 69.8 bushels which is 15 bu above our average and 7 above our previous high.

This year we had hail, collected an insurance payment, and beans are 4.5’ tall.

Did early hail improve soy production?
