'Best' IMO would be a chamber vacuum sealer, then freeze. Getting the air out will help them keep longer. We recently got a chamber vacuum sealer, and I think it's a little slower than the kind that just sucks the air out of the bag, but you can seal about anything that fits in the bag. You can even vacuum seal a bag of water if you want to.
+1 we use our chamber Vac to preserve everything from bulk flower to meat.
