| I don’t think the point was NH is bulletproof, no machine is. The difference is design when something does go awry. NH has a separate module for each turtle so if one module is damaged it can be removed and replaced with no contamination to other modules in the cutterbar. $7000 is actually pretty cheap for a Deere rebuild. Have seen well over double that when it shucks a gear and sends debris through the entire bar. Completely rebuilt a NH 18 ft bar with new parts from modules to knives last year for $12,000 in parts. When the machines are in the field, regardless of color, they all do a good job cutting. | |
