Tags are a way to transfer money out of ag producers to pharma or tech industry. They may be free today, but you can bet the money for them is going to be subtracted from some sort of payments.
Just another stepping stone. If they have a good idea of breeding animal head count they know what’s coming and can suppress the market. Just like we get big swings when usda numbers come out. They want to know everything they can about your head count and cost of production. What do you think these last programs that wanted tax documents were for? They will gut it just like they do crops. You’ll be making $50/head in no time if they keep having their way. Or whatever the profit number needs to be to make sure only the top 5% headcount size can make money. I’d bet they are mad we’re clearing 1,000 a head or more right now. | |
