Studies show in older people the longest living people have the higher cholesterol levels. A large percentage of the brain is made up of cholesterol. Don't think I need to lose any of that. Diet has very low affect on cholesterol levels. The body makes most of the cholesterol internally. The brain exclusively makes its own cholesterol cecause lipoprotein molecules are too big to pass the blood brain barrier. So the brain makes its own, it is so important. Some statins (not all) will lower this brain cholesterol. Does that really sound like a good idea?
