Doubt you'll save money at all. Have ground my beans for 15 or so years. That said, the quality and taste of the coffee will improve a great deal. Beans come from Valconica, Guatamalen peaberry. Doubt you'll be able to drink coffee anywhere except at home after some time.
When I can buy a kilo of arabica coffee beans for $15, I know I'm saving money over buying k-cups.
