SEQ, Australia | We're running the TMX-2050 using FMX+ operating system - this or FMX Display is the only way it can be done at present. I know there are some dual GPS options coming for the GFX Series Displays at some point, but for the moment is FMX/FMX+ only. The "weave" you speak of can definitley be a factor - we used a high-linearity steering pot on the planter track frame (full voltage range in about 40 degrees) so that we had feedback for the most minute movements of the track. We also spent a bit of time adjusting the gains & deadzones on the valve to make sure it didn't overshoot badly. Tracks have to weave to change direction regardless, but once the planter is on the ground the tracks have less work to do and less weight to move also.
We've also got a couple of 120ft bars on castor wheels that run similar setups, but they are harder to control due to phasing rams and the amount of flex in the planter frame itself. Working in contour banks with no active guidance could sometimes see up to 7ft of offline distance as the wheels followed the contour/path of least resistance, with the active guidance its now usually less than 8in.
