Kochia - 5/16/2024 16:43 Using an estimated 7% of the state's natural gas production, they plan to build a 1,400 MW facility in the NW part of ND. This will be the third natural gas plant they have built in the last 20 years. Thank Goodness ! Our co-op purchase's from Basin Electric and I am concerned as they also purchase from Great River, which is part owner with Xcel (NSP) and they are shutting down the efficient clean burning local coal plant that provides inexpensive reliable clean energy. Only draw back to the new Gas plant - getting that energy to where it's being used.
