Northwest Illinois | In my little corner of northwest Illinois planters started to roll again this afternoon. Our area has been lucky in that we haven't had heavy rains causing flooding and large ponds in the fields. Everything we planted last week is up and looking decent. We finished up soybeans today and hope to plant more corn tomorrow. Of course, the fields we have left to go are our lowest ones and have some small ponds here and there. Our current forecast does not call for significant rainfall until Monday late afternoon. If that holds, we should be able to finish up. | |
