Amherst WI | I've had two experiences with Onstar.
One very similar to yours, I was fine air bags deployed and my truck was disabled right on the top of a hill on a busy road. Luckily a good Samaritan helped me push the truck off the highway while traffic blew by. I was pretty ticked that I couldn't just drive the truck off the road (which I could) but with the airbags deployed it won't let you drive it.
The other was I was stung by a bee and had a reaction in a bad cell area. I wanted to get my truck to the nearest FD where help would be closer than the FD servicing area where I was. Of course it called the wrong county dispatch and we had to work through that, but I'm here to tell about it so I guess it worked. | |
