Subject: RE: What’s eating my corn

East Central Nebraska
Couple years ago I had to replant a couple acres due to them ground squirrels. They took out a big circle. Nearly every kernel. I was told they were going after grubs or worm next to the corn seed. I don't know if that is true or not. My dad sits out there now and shoots them. We have a couple in our yard and noticed a few kernels dug up in front of the house. Wife thinks there cool. Couple days ago I seen one run into his hole as I was filling the sprayer. He looked thirsty. I stuck the hose in the hole and ran full blast for about 5 minutes. When I pulled the hose he shot out of hole dripping wet. He needed about 2 more minutes of water I think. But the dog was there and got him before he got to the other hole.
