Subject: Europeans and their tiny headlands



Dodge County, WI
We've all seen the videos of European farmers moldboard plowing with a mounted turnover plow. They drive to the very edge of a field, no matter how big or small the field, lift the plow, execute a three point turn, then continue.
I don't understand the forward/backward obsession, why not do a regular turn and just make a few more headland passes with less fuss?

Seems overcomplicated.
