Blame it on Caterpillar. For years my employer would not buy a dozer with a cab. Visibility issues and grade checkers being run over. After a few $100,000 repairs to GPS grade control systems, enclosed cabs are being bought. Only Komatsu and Deere though. Caterpillars smaller than a D8 don't exist for visibility reasons.

This was just plain a simply me not paying attention. I wasn’t even building that terrace when I hit it. Backing up to get a blade full of dirt for an adjacent one and didn’t even think about it. Somewhere around 30 new risers/terraces in this field. Guess if that’s only one I hit, I won’t be too mad. |
