SE IL | When is final plant date there and why not let it get fit? Especially today when most guys only need a few days to cover a ton of acres. Not a kernel of corn in the ground here and water standing but very few will drag planters through the mud. We do have a longer growing season that helps some. I think many forget how quickly things can dry up as we get close to June and temps get cranked up. Add a little breeze and things can dry fast. A week away in April is often just 2 days end of May. | |
