Subject: Burning wheat stubble

Southern IL
How much nutrient loss is there by burning straw off? Do the ashes still contain some? Is it more available if its burnt? Excellent wheat this year, but lots of straw, too much to bale, no market. I'd think a better stand with a lower population would be worth something. Thanks
