| The synthetic gypsum used a lot in wallboards comes from coal plant flue gas filters and can contain heavy metals like arsenic. I'm not sure i would put it on my field. Or sparingly at best.
Otherwise gypsum is a good source of sulfur and can balance the pH, but it is more expensive.
Plus i think you can add too much and burn the plants. Lime balances itself better.
I'm not sure how you apply either in a planted field though. | |
