I know this has been discussed here before but I want some experienced opinions on running at night and shutting down during the hot part of the day. I have a 240 acre corn field I'm going to put 6/10 on. Corn is 16" tall so not at the critical stage yet, unless you consider it's determining ear length or number of rounds. It's getting dry and supposed to be in the mid 90's all next week. It will take 48 hours of constant running to water the field or if I would run from about 5:00 PM to 11:00 AM about 1/3 longer. So what say you, worth the trouble of starting and stopping or let it run?

I set my pivots on about 1.5" (anywhere from 6 to 8 GPM/acre), turn them on, and let them run 24/7. Or at least as long as they will run between break downs.
