Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We had the same issue. hard to just get just straight RR corn without it being stacked with something, I try and buy non stacked but sometimes seed companies won't even sell RR without more traits. They have to pay for their R and D and don't want us knowing the traits aren't needed in a rotation. A 2 year gap between corn crops make a big difference on disease and insects. We have been able to cut out fungicide and insecticides with the longer rotation as well.

Bit more on financials.
Epleys or Viking Corn: $115-130 per bag for a per acre cost of $50 bucks
RR corn, some stacked some not, 210-230 per bag for a per acre cost of $88.
RR stacked RNA< DNA, Qrome, 310 per bag for a per acre cost of $124

Chemicals:
Pre
Harness xtra- .45 gallon per acre
RR Pr max 3- 32 oz per acre
Complete- 3 oz per acre

Post
Capreno-2.5 oz per acre
Laudis- 1 oz per acre
Atrazine-16 oz per acre
MSO-9 oz per acre

Herbicide cost per acre of $40.68

Seed and chemicals I am at $90.68 per acre
Previously doing a conventional corn on corn program I was at $211.68. (fungicide and insecticide included)

Not going to claim my yields are any better or worse. Was right at the county insurance average last year.
