Subject: RE: Burning wheat stubble

If you bale or pile it up, it is easier to char but a LOT of work getting it done. (they pile up cornstalks in like africa to burn them) or simply put a shroud around a large bale. I was trying to think of a way to do it for pasture burning, without baling or piling it up which is a lot more work then most are willing to do. Nor would I go through that unless I had a reason. The only thing I could think of would probably move to slow across a field, which is basically a weed burner torch with a shroud and skirt. and possibly you don't have to completely char it, it might be enough to get it brittle, then put a roller crimper behind it to further smash it. It is on the very low priority list to look up how they recommend burning pastures down south.
