NW TX Panhandle | As you say, I'm am also no longer in the day to day trenches but I've spent a lifetime of seeing the failures of a poor immigration system. The future problem of dealing with 20 million illegals makes everything in the past simply look like childs' play. Rounding up 20 mil people is not practical on any level, period. I don't mind offering a small carrot of an incentive, to get an idea of who has entered our country & as a way of managing the influx to some degree. A non-citizen worker registration program would be that small carrot. For those who cannot or will not participate by the rules of registering, immediate deportation as the offenders are discovered by worker raids or similar methods. Understandably, I'm sure this would be opposed due to politics. | |
