NE Nebraska | You bring up some good points. I’m a little surprised our accountant doesn’t provide any good answers, since surely many clients are dealing with these issues. We’ve come along reluctantly with QB desktop but have been appalled at the subscription increases like you describe. We just gave in and started QB online. So far It’s not very intuitive, and setting up accounts seems difficult to make good sense for what we need. At this point I hate intuit Quickbooks. For cash accounting we just need something simple to record income/expense and print reports for the accountant. I don’t like, or really want, or really trust a cloud based system. Many years ago I used Microsoft Money. I loved that program. It was clear and simple IMO and customizing categories was easy. Supposedly you can download it for free but I’ve never looked into it. Maybe someone has a good excel spreadsheet they would like to share. | |
