I also like the battery aids better than the rechargeable ones. Problem is; the best tech is only available in the rechargeable type. So, I no longer use batteries. My current set of Phonaks have a battery powered case that will recharge the aids for about a week without the case being plugged in. Most cars also have a USB plug that will charge most of today's aids. Not as much of a problem as it was when every charger had a different end and voltage.
