You're correct, and I doubt you have either.

In fact most people in this country don't know what hunger is.       Very few people in this country are actually poor either when taken in context of the whole world.


But that is besides the point that if kids won't eat the meal, it doesn't matter if what's on the plate is "healthy/nutritious" or not, they're going to eat junk during and after school.      Those old ladies probably had a bag of chips in their room as well.
