Subject: 8230 Hydraulic Grimilin

John Deere 8230 has had a whine off and on for a couple years. Couldn't ever figure out what was causing it. Sometime bumping or floating scv would stop it, sometimes not. Jump until lately, I was running a pto implement that was using constant flow on a scv too. I had the power usage monitor showing to show load on tractor and noticed that when hydraulic whined, the power bar was 50%~ higher, but if I turned steering wheel or bumped scv and could get whine to stop the power usage would drop back alot. This whine is not consistently always there. The other day, I was backing tractor in shop and it started doing it with no implement attached or scv being used. Tractor starts easy. Guy at john deere thinks it in pump control valve or something in the pump and needs a new one. Any ideas? probably 8k hrs on tractor. thanks
