SC Kansas | I had a local mechanic rebuild my ‘63 carb on a C20 with a 283. Manual trans. The power valve had leather seals. Yes. Leather. I was surprised it looked as good as it did considering it was probably close to 60 years sitting in fuel. The new carb kit I ordered from Oreillys. My carb still had the “tag” screwed to the carb top. It was useful. Of course they had to get the old book manuals out but they ordered a carb kit. Runs great now. My 63 C-20 has such a low geared rear end it’s a 40mph road speed. | |
