I understand your concern about the technology of drones.. but I also think you're underestimating the technology possessed by the US Military. Don't forget as well, everything out there that's not a carrier primarily exists to ensure the Carrier is protected and can carry out it's mission, so I have little concern of anyone putting one on the bottom of the ocean anytime soon. We're launching and landing drones from carriers now, talking small jet-sized drones not a little ag spray drone. I slept most of the time just fine when I had an opportunity to in the belly of a carrier in a combat theater and feel like I still would today.
