How much ordinance would a swarm need to have to even dent an aircraft carrier? A dingy full of explosives ruptured a hull but didn’t sink a ship. I am referring to the terrorist attack in late 90’s battle ship.
The shear number of drones it would take to sink a ship is staggering. Also don’t forget we have EMP, signal jammers, and more that can render threats useless. The targets these swarms are successful against are the vulnerable ones with little to no defense, that’s why they are chosen for a target.
An attack on a battleship? I don't think any battle ships were in use in the late 90s. It's been more than 80 years since the last one was made but I don't think anything on the water today can withstand a hit like a battleship. |
