The interesting thing going into 2012 was that the 2011 crop was already in strong price ration mode with carryout under 1 billion. We are in a price induced demand pull currently.
That does leave an interesting hypothetical. Is it easier to ration demand after a year with ample stocks or does a year of rationing give end users more experience in stretching supplies?
