Subject: RE: Increasing cell phone GPS Accuracy

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Some years ago I purchased an external GPS that plugged into my iPhone with the intent of improving the accuracy for marking rocks etc. I took it out in a field with my Ranger and marked some larger rocks that would require a loader. My idea was to come back later with the loader tractor and pick them up. After I got some marked, I purposely drove the loader tractor back to the field the same day. Maybe it was the new GPS, maybe it was the software or App but some of the rocks that I had marked were so far off that they appeared in the neighbors field.

Fortunately my Ranger tracks were still visible and I followed them to the rocks. I believe that GPS was a Garmin Elf or something like that. I returned it to Amazon for a refund. Maybe I got a bad one but I was not impressed. That was several years ago.
