central - east central Minnesota - | Max_Power - 1/27/2025 17:44 Haven't shopped for tv's for at least 15 years. It sure looks complicated now. UHD, Crystal UHD, OLED, QLED... I'm someone who thinks the low end models on the shelf at Walmart look good enough. Is it worth it to spend more for some of the higher end technology to help future proof a tv? What size/brand/pixel level etc. are you guys buying these days? Thanks The higher priced TV"s are the newest or newer technology . . . UHD and Crystal are older tech and work just fine with what's out there to watch. As movie making and filming technology progress, the newest Tech will be a better picture quality. Better colors and darks show more/better. Most of the new TV technology will last 7-10 yrs (on average use) and then something will go wrong and you'll need anther. Visit the stores that sell TV's and look at the picture quality between all them and pick the one you think looks best and fits within your price range. |
