NWMO | I fully agree, it seems the bigger the corporation the worse off they are
In my experience, it’s because they make top down decisions on things they don’t have any business making decisions on. For example, Ag Power is in our neighborhood (not our main dealer) and they have some really good and smart people working there. However, sometimes when you go to get parts, one store will have a bunch of the parts you need and your store won’t have any. They can transfer them but that takes an additional day to get done, or you can drive over to the other store (1-2 hours away).
They do it so that they can buy less parts, keep them at one place, and keep the overall bill cheaper for themselves. By themselves, I mean the corporation, not the individual stores. When the people making the decisions for the stores are in an office somewhere 200 miles away and not in the stores seeing what needs to be done, nonsense occurs to secure the almighty dollar
Our main store is Hiawatha implement, they have an excellent parts department, excellent service department, and a wide selection of equipment. They have 2 stores and are privately owned and the owners office is in the store. In this 5-6 county area of NWMO, SENE, and NEKS, they rule the roost, and for good reason. | |
