I think it’s impossible to pick the top of the cattle market. Cash has led live cattle for 2+ years so it’s not like there is some funny money pushing this deal. Even killer cow prices have increased dramatically as supplies have diminished. Yes if given the chance the funds will liquidate in a big way.
I agree. Gamblers nor govt reports can outweigh S and D. Cattle are an actual market. Cash dominates. Government reports reluctantly keep up and cattle prices will remain strong. Unless demand is lost and I don’t see it. American beef has weathered a lot of storms and there is no substitute. And the industry has improved its product genetically. American beef is the bomb! |
