Southeast Colorado | In the 60s and early 70s there were a LOT of sugar beets here. Back when we had water. I still remember seeing tail water in the ditch along the highway flowing to Kansas. That's why there was the push for tailwater pits. I've got a few of them. Pretty sure that now I could pump all my wells all year into one and couldn't keep up with evaporation enough to ever fill it. | |
