While there may be law books in the basement of a law library, I would expect most, if not all, law schools, as well as states, have taken the time and effort to put their laws in a digital form, and on-line. And then make it accessible to doing a search.

I won't say that you won't find some obsure law in a legal book that got missed in the transition to on-line sourcing.  But I think that would be the exception, and not the rule.
