Long ago Dad and I played with composite cows and bulls and their mating. Came away with a few rules of thumb that I followed but then our appetite for Angus took over.
What is your experience and have you developed your own strategy?
Genetically speaking: Half the calves will be consistent and look the same. 25 % will be different one way and 25% will be different the other way.
In the real world: If you keep using them the calf crop keeps getting consistent and better.
