Unfortunately any receiver using WAAS is not going to consistently keep you within 3 feet. You would need a subscription based signal such as JD SF2/3/RTK, Omnistar/Centerpoint RTX, Terrastar C/X.

I wondered about WAAS for that application. How would something comparable to STARFIRE 1 or Trimble range point do? There are a couple of receivers out now that can use Galileo HAS and probably be several more in the near future. HAS on paper looks to be similar to SF1 and Range Point.

I had not read about HAS. Thanks for the information. From what I am reading, it is the European Unions equivalent to WAAS. 20 cm accuracy is about the same as WAAS, but I did not see anything about time. WAAS is 6-8 inch accuracy within 15 minutes. I have proven on several occasions that after 15 minutes, it starts to drift pretty rapidly. My experience with Rangepoint is limited, but do know that SF1 drifts a lot less than WAAS over time.
