| We’ve done it two ways. Old hydro poles cut to 10’ and dug in, lagged on with 5” lags and fender washers. Other way is to cut a 30-32’ 3.5” oilfield pipe joint into 3. Gets you roughly a 10’ post. Drive in. Clamp guardrail to it with a pipe clamp. Weld clamp to post and drill holes in the rail. Makes a durable fence. Sometimes we put windbreak boards on it also.
Between frost and wind 10’ is the minimum post length for construction here.
