E.Central MN | A couple days ago I went with some neighbors to a small town cafe for breakfast. One neighbor asked the waitress about the special, and the cost of eggs came up. The waitress said they charge about $1.50/egg after cooking and serving them. Before somebody says that's highway robbery, if you think about it, even when eggs were cheap, they'd have to sell a lot of eggs to make a decent living. I hope egg prices come back down soon. Not because I love eggs, but because I don't want to see all those small cafes go out of business. | |
