| At the start of the Ukraine war I remember being an outlier. I looked up their average quality of life measured by income per person and compared that with Russia. Russia was better. I did some basic google searches and saw they had a lot of corruption and, Putin was right, a neo nazi problem. I didn’t really know what they were fighting for other than their independence. Especially if you know anything about Syria, I mean Russia made a pile of rubble of that country.
But then I heard this story about zelensky. White House called him up and said “bro it doesn’t look good for your country or you, we can send a jet in the next 24 hours and take you and your family out of there”
Zelensky replied “don’t send a jet, send me more bullets”
And that still gives me goosebumps. Literally just got goosebumps typing that out. | |
