| We have accepted the government regulating the perceived value as well as the actual value of products for a long time already. Environmental scores, the whole carbon reduction scheme, emissions controls, the push to reduce plastics, wetland and waterway regulations, environmental taxes, etc, etc. I understand what you are saying but through incremental creep governments have already been increasingly doing exactly what you are referring to.
