just a tish NE of central ND | Gosh, IM pretty sure that the seed cleaners in the wooden house elevators here ran them for years and years. I have no idea how they lasted but I'm sure they used linked belts 45 or more years ago and some of them that are left are probably still equipped with them. THAT is what gave the LOW-PITCHED HUMMING sound out of those Carter-Day seed cleaners. The tight notched link belt hums as it goes around the pulleys. |
