Subject: RE: Finding land to lease

Be ready to be ignored. But stay positive and be professional about it.

When I started out I foolishly thought there would be many opportunities to rent land. Almost every opportunity I pursued I got turned down from. And these weren't cold calls, these were situations where I sort of had an "in" of sorts and knew there would be something available. But somebody else always had a better "in" or was willing to push the rent a little higher. But every opportunity I lost out on left me open for others, I bought some land that I wouldn't have been able to swing with big top dollar rent payments to make, and I've had better rent deals come to me that I wouldn't have been as receptive to if I were already neck deep in overpriced rent.
