just a tish NE of central ND
OK! You got me here, "What is the ripple tin?"I dont see anything about it in my book. Id have to look in my combine, but I dont think I even have the wire fingers like my 914 has above the seive and below the delivery augers. What is a ripple tin?Where is it located? One thing that I do have is a modification of sort , a spoiler or an air scoop(4" metal louver strip) has been welded to the lower part of the seive about ?? 12 inches from the front and pointed upward to direct the air upward in the front section of the AF seive.
As far a the cover for the rotor cage, I never thought to try the cage covers. I have two of them here that were with the machine. The previous owner got them to do some corn.. Ill have to try them. In my book, someone has written in there to set the fan at 900-950 rpms for sunlfowers. ........I find ALOT of heavier seed on the ground if I set the fan this fast.I run less than (around 800 RPM.)BUT<<< my return is full. Too full in my opinion. Lots of sunflower and lots of fines. If I open the seives more I get biger stalk chunks in the sample.....
I finished sunflowers last night , but have plenty of "stuff" in the bins with the flowers also.
