Subject: Re: Kinze 3650 Bulk Fill

EC Indiana
We have used a 16/32 bulk 3650 for 3 years. They are actually alot simpler than they look. I agree they prolly are a little on the heavy side, but I would guess no more than any other 40 foot splitter or air seeder. We pull ours with 145ph fwa in notill and mildly rolling ground. It works okay, but would recommend at least 165 and more would be better. If you are looking at a used one, look at the welds on the pusher units near where the lower parallel arms attatch to the row unit. Found some cracks on some of the older (early 3600) used units we looked at. I agree with sweetcorn, good idea to have a couple extra seed tubes and sensors. They are easy to swap out, just have to do it in the proper sequence so the KPM II monitor knows which row the new sensor is on. We have had kinze planters for almost 10 years. We like them. Well built and simple. Very good resale. Let me know if you have more questions. Just thought of another benefit. They are very well balanced in transport.
