Northern Illinois | getting a CGM has been very educational for me. I was very lax about testing my blood sugar so I am now learning what spikes my blood sugar. There have been some surprises. Both in what does and does not cause a spike. Last night was a surprise in something that did spike my blood sugar. I have not been feeling well and wanted to get a good (good is a relative term for my sleep) so I took NyQuil before bed. I could be that I wasn't feeling well and that was a partial cause but I had a fairly hefty spike after taking the Nyquil. Doing some online google searches and yes Nyquil is known to spike blood sugar. I searched and who knew but there is a diabetic Nyquil that I will be ordering.
