SE South Dakota | For a lot of years, we use the fertilizer tanks and electric pumps to spray pre-emerge herbicide behind our row units. Loved!!! Not having the second pass after planting. As the one guy that can run all the tech, a second pass BEFORE emergence is just way too stressful.
Last year we sacrificed that setup to start running in-furrow fert and chem. Love that option. Now I want to do both!
I need some clever ideas about:
1) pulling a liquid trailer behind the planter. (The challenge with that is the planter’s center hinge.)
2) a way to insert a tank between the planter and tractor
3) we could put tanks on the tractor, but I would prefer not to
4) other?
